Too true Rich, after the Westonburt trip that was really good fun we have done nothing. I am thinking something out of this area but depends on how far people want to travel. Having never been I would love to go to Brecon Beacons National Park. I know it is going to be like Westonburt with woodland etc but I think it would be more fun. Maybe a early morning to make a good day of it. Thoughts????

Brecon is great, chance to get some waterfalls there too :)

If we're heading that far afield there are loads of potentials in the Forest of Dean etc.

Only potential downside is the farther we go, the trickier it is to get a bunch of people together.

How about a mini tour down to Portishead/Clevedon/Weston/Burnham to do the piers, lighthouses, uphill etc.

I agree on the distance thing mate, people might not be up for it. The idea of clevedon, weston etc sounds good. Not to far and plenty for everyone to stay busy with the cameras. Still really wanna do Brecons and Dean so maybe something for later.

Just to be clear.. personally I have no problem with any amount of travelling. Happy to take a car full if people chip in for fuel etc. I just know from past experience that most people can't be arsed if it's too much trouble!

If there's a reasonable weather day I wouldn't mind taking another trip down to Priddy and do some landscapey stuff by Priddy Pond etc.

Couple of examples from Priddy:

So, provisionally we're doing something on Wednesday 8th Feb.

We need to thrash something out as to where we're going and what we're doing but we can figure that out between now and then!

Also, if anyones interested in a random afternoon down by the Severn then myself and some of the 'Bristol Photography Day' group from Facebook are going to have an afternoon shooting the severn bridges, including some long-exposure and sunset shots too. If you're up for that, it'll be a 1:30/2pm meet up in Costa at the old Aust Services then a mooch between the viewpoint, Aust beach and down to Severn Beach for the Sunset.

Here's the FB event: http://www.facebook.com/events/139612456158699/ feel free to add yourself if you fancy it.

Well as mentioned before I really wanna do Brecons or Forest of Dean but I know the distance etc might be difficult for some. Love the idea of landscape stuff at Priddy as mentioned by Rich. How about the coastal area between Portishead and Clevedon?? Don't know that area but might be another landscape option. The other place I have never been is Cotswolds Water Park, any thoughts on that? Just thinking of something not to far away.

Heading out with James and Gay to do something on Wednesday 14th March. Probably a mini Somerset landscape tour.

Anyone else fancy joining us?

Right people, weather getting better and G is back into photography with a vengeance. On our way back from a awesome afternoon at Go Ape me and Rich spotted a couple of possible places for a little photo fun. Check out these two places:

http://www.britainexpress.com/counties/ ... stbury.htm
http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/westburycourt/

Both right next door to each other and not all that far away. I seem to be drawn to churches/architecture recently along with Macro so think this would be great places to do this kind of photography. If your not into that then what ever you fancy, seems to be loads there.

Thoughts??
