[Edit: Split out from original topic for clarity]

Quick question I have been looking at the Wacom tablet which one do you use? I have been looking at the cheap Bamboo ones just as a starter are they any good?

To be honest, just about any basic stylus would be fine for 99% of what I do. I rarely need anything more than the basic pressure sensitivity and they all do that.

I do have a really good Wacom Intuos Pro (A5 surface), but that's mainly because I won in at a trade show raffle.

I do think it's worth having one with a decent surface area, but I rarely use the fancy features like smart buttons etc. as I use it next to my keyboard anyway.

My friend Penny bought this one recently and it's awesome:
Huin H610 Pro at about £60 I'd look seriously at this one.

This one here looks pretty good at £36

Another option for us Mac owners is AstroPad (http://astropad.com)

This is really cool if you have an iPad and a stylus. Turns it into a mini Cintiq..

The big benefit is you are drawing directly onto the image. It's a bit laggy but still works great.

I had a hi-res stylus for my iPad already, but when I discovered Astropad I upgraded to a touch sensitive one which is brilliant.
