Project 52: 2016 Intro / General Discussion

Ooh look, a handy place to keep personal projects without them getting lost in the main photo thread..

I've just added a few more ideas to the list including different types of cropping and the use of negative space.

Does anybody else have any ideas we can add to the list?

So come on folks, lets see you thinking outside the box a bit.

Take a look at my sample list above, let's have you try some styles/techniques that at OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE!

Looking forward to seeing your next shots guys...

The whole idea of the project is a different topic each week to get you trying different styles / techniques, not just shooting the same old stuff week in week out. I know that Helen has been trying the water drops, who else is going to try something totally new they've never tried before?

Hey, it would be really nice to see some of you guys actually interacting with one another, posting a few comments, feedback or suggestions.

It's really easy to get off track and lose the momentum with these kind of projects, but a bit of mutual support and encouragement goes a long way.

Seems to me that those of you who are posting pics, are just coming on here and posting one pic to your thread, but not actually looking at or commenting on others work, or indeed, even reading my comments about the project itself... Come on guys, a bit of actual interaction goes a long way!

It's not meant to just be a dumping ground for your photos. You could just do that solo on Flickr. Come on guys, how about encouraging and supporting each other, that's a big part of why I set this up, to help you all help each other!

Nope it's cool.. Nothing wrong with that.

My mail was aimed at everyone, to remind people that the key benefit is to get people out of their comfort zone and doing different things. You've done some great stuff so far!

BTW, I've moved your post into the general chat thread as thats more appropriate here rather than cluttering up your actual project thread.
