Well if you do happen to do the 30th, let me know as I'd be more than happy to come an give you a hand with the lighting.

Re: Prinknash Bird and deer park

Another great set there Phil.

I especially like the close up detail in the feathers, and the composition of the stream shot. Nice portrait shot at the end there too :-)

Re: Kids in the studio

Start with a single light, 45º front/side/up. I'd go with a big octa for starters.. Camera on ISO 100, 125th, F8 as a starting point. Take a test shot for the ambient light (it'll probably be quite dark at that point). Then switch on the flash trigger and take a test shot with flash. Remember, chang...

Re: Kids in the studio

Shame you're doing that on the 31st as I'm on a martial arts seminar that day, otherwise I'd've offered to come & help you with the lighting!

Re: Phil Munyard Project 52 2016

It's a lovely little village isn't it. Another well worth a visit is Lacock. Really unusual in that you don't see any TV arials or electricity wires anywhere making for some really timeless shots.

(Thought your Castle Combe set deserved it's own thread BTW so I moved it here)

Re: Phil Munyard Project 52 2016

Re: Helen Project 52 2016

Thanks yes I will keep trying. The flash I could get to work off camera so ended up with it on my camera. I will keep trying though.
Did you get your triggers? If so, what was the problem, maybe we can help!

11/52 - Natural Frames

Whilst we were at the Zoo I made a point of looking for some natural frames. Couple of examples: https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1702/24953772459_66b327f742_c.jpg And this Lemur, maybe not the best pic, but I did use it at the time to show the specific example where changing my position allowed me to...

10/52 - At The Zoo

Had a day out with a student at the Zoo this week, so it would be rude not to post something from there.. Here's an inquisitive little Lemur for starters https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1653/25024771680_95bda664a5_c.jpg And a Mongoose Lemur https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1536/24688042024_e9a6b46b05_c...
